Why should I place an order with Smart Resolution?

When you place an order with us, you are covered by the best guarantee in the printing industry! We provide full credit, replacement or refund, including any shipping charges, for products found to contain errors made by us or for pre-designed products not printed with supplied electronic files. Will Smart Resolution share my information?

The only non-sensitive information that we share with a third party is your delivery information. Occasionally, Smart Resolution sends offers or announcements and your email address can be shared with a third-party software. What should I know before I start?

Our business model is to be straight-forward and reliable. As such, we have some tools available to make sure that we can stand by those concepts:  

Promotion Codes
New promotions are available every quarter. Please check our promotions page for currently available discounts.

Finalizing Orders
An order will not be placed until the final "Place Order" button is clicked. This is AFTER the billing and shipping information has been entered. Sometimes, we get calls from customers who thought they had placed their order a week ago, only to realize they never hit the final "Place Order" button. 

Prices
Our prices are carefully calculated to remain competitive regardless of quantity. Higher quantities will reduce the price per unit and a missing quantity is either not available or not considered profitable. Sometimes, the next quantity makes more sense. Please do inquire about higher quantities than the ones displayed on our website, as that is an option.

Quotes
Quotes may be requested on any product, that we may or may not have. Most quotes are answered within 48 hours.

Proofs
Most customized products offer an online preview and will not require a proof. If a logo is used, it will not show up in the preview but you may request a proof in the "Additional Instructions" section of the checkout and the proof will include your logo. Since customized products are preprinted for the most part, we will only send the portion that is set up for press in our proofs. You will not see the entire product. We do however have a 100% guarantee, and will either reprint or refund the purchase price if the final product is not satisfactory.

Products with your own design come with PDF proofs.
 

What if I do not want to pay before seeing a proof?
A credit card may not get charged until a proof has been approved. A request can be made by calling or emailing our customer service. One of our representatives will handle your request in a professional and timely manner.

Turnaround Time
The turnaround times vary by product. Each product shows a tab that gives an estimated number of days to receive an order.

Rush Orders
Some customized products allow for a rush, as detailed in this rushing an order article. The shipping method, however, can be expedited on all orders. Keep in mind that a customized product ordered with Next Day Air shipping will still take from 2 to 7 days to be shipped, meaning that you will receive the order in 3 to 8 days. Next Day Air shipping does NOT mean that you receive the order the next day.

Products that are not printed will still take up to 2 days to ship.

Shipping Methods
We offer different shipping methods, such as UPS Ground, UPS Second Day Air, UPS Next Day Air and USPS. We are unable to use a customer's UPS or Fedex shipping account.

Depending on the shipping method chosen, it will take anywhere from 1 to 10 days for delivery once the product has left our facility.

Shipping Destinations
We currently ship to the U.S (including PR and HI), U.S. territories and Canada.

Guarantee
We guarantee our products. We will either replace or refund the order if you are not entirely satisfied.

Payment
We accept all major credit cards and checks. For checks, the order will not be processed until the check has cleared. You may also open an account with us by filling out a credit application. Delinquent invoices incur a monthly finance charge of 2.5% (30% annualized).

Due to the nature of our business, credit cards are not necessarily charged when you hit the "Place Order" button. One of the main reasons for this is that each order needs to be reviewed for accuracy (some people ask for options in the comments instead of selecting the paid option, for instance).
 

Are there any other costs?

The only other cost would be for shipping and is calculated during the checkout process. Shipping prices are calculated during checkout or can be found here.

Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled as long as they have not been printed or shipped. If printed, a discount or refund can be offered, depending on the case. If shipped, you can also refuse the delivery.

Printing Facilities
We have plants located in different parts of the country so orders can ship from Florida, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri or California. We try to ship from the location closest to you but depending on processing times at each plant, that may change.

Where do I start?

We offer different product types so the first thing to do is to identify which product you need.

Blank Products
If you want to order a product without any text, you may specify so during checkout. The price is not reduced when ordering blank products, however.

Customized Products
If you wish for the product to be ordered without any text, please specify it during the checkout process. Your price will not reduced. Otherwise, please follow the checkout options and customize your product as desired. You will not be able to see extra lines of type, such as terms, or your logo in the preview. Please also note that proofs of custom products will only show you the specific portion of the item being ordered. Since we offer a strong guarantee, keep in mind that your order can either be replaced or refunded if the product does not match your expectations. That's how confident we are that you will like it!

Your Own Design Products
All instructions tied to a product with your own design should be addressed within the quote's box or a separate file should be sent over with specific instructions. Artwork files can be uploaded at the end of the order or emailed to artwork@smartresolution.comPlease be sure to reference your order number in the subject field of your email.

Full Color Products
All instructions tied to a full color product should be addressed within the quote's box or a separate file should be sent over with specific instructions. Do I have to order online?

Although ordering online will show you all the options available, we also offer the option of ordering by phone, email or mail.

To order by email: scan and email one of the order forms below to info@smartresolution.com or simply ask for the new quantity and changes needed for a reorder.

Check 21

Check 21 is a federal law that impacts the way financial institutions process checks. Check 21 enables financial institutions to speed up check processing by creating and transmitting electronic images of checks known as substitute checks, which is a paper copy of the front and back of the check created from a scanned image. It is slightly larger than the check and contains the following information:

  • An image of the front and back of the check
  • All the information from the original check
  • Information on how the check was deposited
  • A statement indicating that the image is a legal copy of the original check

How does it work?

Once a check is deposited, financial institutions can create an electronic image of the check and transmit the image to another financial institution for processing. Check 21 provides the rules and guidelines for the use of substitute checks and provides protections to those who may receive a substitute check.

Substitute checks can be used for record-keeping or proof of payment the same way as the original check. Check 21 also provides a special procedure that allows consumers to request a refund for losses suffered if a substitute check was posted incorrectly to their account. This only applies if the account problems are based on how a check was converted to a substitute check. In this case, the financial institution will provide a disclosure to outline the process and guidelines for processing requests for expedited re-credit.

What does it mean to me?

Check 21 does not affect the way you write checks, just the way your financial institution processes them. Checks will however clear faster and with faster check clearing, financial institutions may be able to detect check fraud faster.

Why can't I see my logo in the preview?

Why can't the logo be seen in the online preview?

The preview will not show an uploaded logo but a proof may be requested under the "Additional Instructions" section for more peace-of-mind. Keep in mind that the customized products on our website are pre-printed for the most part, and therefore the proof may only reflect the portion that is set up for press. As a result, the entire product may NOT be shown on the proof; only the portion to be customized.

But as we do offer a 100% guarantee, the product can usually be reprinted or refunded, should there be any issue or lack of satisfaction. Ultimately, those cases are very rare, however. 

Why can't I see the product preview?

Here's what to do if the online preview of a product does not work

Rest assured that the information has been taken into account

  1. Since we have a 100% guarantee, most likely the product will be covered by it
  2. A proof can be requested in the "Special Instructions" section
  3. Submit a ticket so that the online preview can be adjusted

Can I see a proof before ordering?

Most definitely. Most custom products already offer an online preview which is a close rendering of the final product but if you would like to see a proof, simply request it in the comments section during checkout. Keep in mind that custom products are preprinted for the most part, and therefore the proof will only reflect the portion that is set up for press. You will not see the entire product. Note that we have a 100% guarantee, and that your product will be reprinted or refunded if you are not entirely satisfied. For orders with your own design, 2 complimentary proofs are included in your price. To get a proof before you make a final purchase decision, submit a ticket and one of our customer service representatives will help you place a "proof order", meaning that we will send you a proof before requesting any payment from you.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to the U.S (including PR and HI), APO addresses, U.S. territories and Canada. Please note that we are not responsible for brokerage or duty fees incurred when shipping to Canada, so please review your order carefully. Also note that several items on an order may ship separately and incur multiple duty/brokerage fees. Finally, expedited shipping is not currently available for Canadian destinations, unless quoted separately.

May I get a discount?

We encourage you to look at our quarterly promotions, as valuable savings are offered on your first-time order. The promo code is usually not applicable on reorders so do feel free to use it whenever you order an item for the first time.
